Bollywood star couple Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan will perform together at the Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) in Vancouver on April 6.

So will Ash/Abhi do it for real this time?

Well, considering Ash's much hyped performance during the Femina Miss India pageant was per-recorded, it isn't wrong to question Ash's intentions this time around.

Officials claim Aishwarya's Vancouver performance along with husband Abhishek would be her first overseas performance post the birth of her baby daughter Aaradhya.

TOIFA, which spans over 3 days, kick-starts on April 4 with a big concert at the Pacific Coliseum choreographed by Vancouver resident Shiamak Davar. The next day will witness the screening of several Bollywood films, followed by the gala awards show on April 6 at BC Place Stadium.

Ranbir Kapoor and charming Anushka Sharma will be co-hosting the red carpet of the gala awards show on April 6. Actor Boman Irani will also join them in the show.

Apart from Aishwarya and Abhishek, many leading actors from film industry including Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Sukhwinder Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan and Mohit Chauhan are expected to perform at the gala event. More than 70 local dancers are working full days preparing for the three days’ performance at the TOIFA event.

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bacchan will spend several days at British Columbia Vancouver ahead of the event.

Aishwarya performance at the Miss India Pageant on March 24 was her first official performance on stage post pregnancy. We hope with husband Abhishek by her her side time, Ash will perform LIVE in Vancouver and not pre-record the act.

Earlier on February 3, she gave an unprepared performance at a fund-raising event organized by NDTV and Coca Cola.

The Times of India Film Awards are a new set of awards designed to expose stars and films of the Hindi film industry to the international audience. The ceremony will be held at international destinations and the charm of Bollywood will be taken to the global Indian, south Asian communities and fans of Bollywood across the world.

For this three-day event, nearly $ 9.5 million is being spent and additional $1.5 million on business forums and other trade events at the same time. The premier says it is way to strengthen ties between British Columbia and India.
