Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is getting into the habit of breaking rules.

During the IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kohli had a heated exchange with umpire Kumar Dharmasena.

He again broke the players' protocol during the tie against Delhi Daredevils on Sunday.

Moments after rain interrupted play and the covers were drawn, the batsmen at the crease, Kohli and Chris Gayle, walked back to the pavilion.

Within minutes, Kohli was seen in the corridor right next to the VIP box where his girlfriend, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, was seated.

Kohli then went up to Anushka much to the amusement of the public.

Technically, a match is still on till the last ball is bowled and a rain stoppage doesn't give players the liberty to leave their designated area and mingle with outsiders.

Soon the duo was on the giant screen at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, and the host broadcaster too cashed in on the visual treat - replaying it for millions of households.

The precise code that Kohli was found to have breached relates to the minimum standards for Players and Match Officials Area (PMOA). It is understood that Kohli was informed of the violation by BCCI anti-corruption unit head, and let off as the infringement was found to be a minor one.

Cricinfo reports the exact code Kohli broke was 5.1.2(c) which reads: "Whilst outside of the PMOA, the Player, Player Support Personnel or Match Official must only communicate with those third parties with whom he/she has permission to communicate and only engage in such communications as are necessary for the completion of such purposes as have been approved."
