Aamir Khan clarifies that the news of the filmmakers inflating the price to be untrue.

‘Dhoom 3’ is 2013’s final mega blockbuster after a number of movies like ‘Chennai Express’, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Krrish 3’ have easily reached the 100 crore club. In fact, the Rs. 200 crore club has now become a new benchmark! It is obvious that this Aamir Khan starrer that follows the legacy of the ‘Dhoom’ franchise had high expectation attached to it from its very inception.

To the relief of the filmmaker, ‘Dhoom 3’ has collected Rs. 107.61 crore in its first weekend itself, which indeed is a record. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh quoted it as, “All time record!”

Actor Uday Chopra who has appeared in all three parts of the film, shared his happiness of a micro-blogging site, saying, “It looks like a Dhoom-ing kind of Christmas.”

Clarifying the hiking up of the price of the tickets to inflate the box-office collections, Aamir said, “This is not true. It’s in the same range of ‘Chennai Express’. This is also for the first time releasing in IMAX , so the price has been increased only in these four screens of IMAX. It’s exactly the same cost at rest of the theatres. So, I request you all to clarify the misinformation.”
Indeed this year has been a ‘Dhoom’ year for box-office ending with this bang!
