Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance (MoF), is using Dubai's World Expo 2020 logo in all strategic plans and projects to help promote and support UAE’s bid to host the event.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum said: "Hosting Expo 2020 in Dubai represents a unique opportunity to continue development and progress of the UAE and Dubai. Hosting Expo 2020 would be yet another accomplishment for the UAE, at the levels of social and economic development. We have no doubt that the UAE and the Emirate of Dubai will represent a successful model for the future in hosting events."
He said: “Having the opportunity to hold the World Expo 2020 in Dubai will enhance the Emirate’s position as a major international hub for both tourism and trade, and the UAE’s advanced infrastructure and convenient geographic location between the East and the West will increase our chances of winning the bid to host this prestigious global event. We are determined to gather the whole world on our generous land as part of our aim to ‘bring minds together to build a better future’ and we will put all of our efforts into making this event as successful as possible, and to position Dubai as an international business hub."
