FutureCard to supply 9 million Nol smart cards

FutureCard, the UAE-based manufacturer of all types of smart-cards, announced today that it has been awarded a contract with the RTA for the supply of 9 million Nol smart-cards.
 
Within the framework of a public call for tenders, FutureCard was selected for the supply of RFID fare cards which can be used to pay for travel on the metro, buses, water buses and paid parking provided by RTA. The contract is effective from July 1, 2014 for two years.

As RTA is wishes to develop integrated solutions of transportation network with the highest standards and world-class services, our team will place every effort to achieve these objectives to satisfy all citizens and by extension, the  UAE Government, who has trusted us with this project."
