The Supreme Court in Saudi Arabia has called on all Muslims in the Kingdom to sight the crescent of the lunar month of Ramadan on Monday evening, Shaaban 29, 1434AH, corresponding to July 8, 2013.
The Supreme Court called on whomsoever sees the crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan by naked eyes or through binoculars to report to the nearest court and register his testimony, or report to the authority of the region's governorate if there is no judge in the area where he sighted the crescent.
The Court called on capable crescent observers to join the committees formed in the provinces for this purpose.
