International Property Show 2013 kicks off in Dubai

The International Property Show 2013 (IPS) kicked off today and lasts until May 2 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center.

The three-day show is supported by Government of Dubai Land Department and is held in parallel with the 3rd edition of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. The majority of companies participating in IPS belong to the United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Brazil, the Philippines, Thailand, Morocco, Turkey, Cyprus, Egypt and Canada.

Falconcity of Wonders, the leading project in the region has announced its strategic partnership with IPS 2013, is participating in the event with a pavilion showcasing a model of the project in order to communicate with investors and provide information related to the implementation phases. Diamond Developers, who develop the first of its kind in the region Dubai Sustainable City project, is the sponsor of the event. Diamond Developers is a major participant in the event with a model of the new city.

The IPS succeeded in attracting major national and foreign companies and its exhibiting spaces was fully booked by the exhibitors in a short period of time. This is a clear indicator that the IPS new edition receives momentum under the support and participation of the Land Department, says the organizers.

Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of Dubai Land Department (LD), said the IPS has succeeded again in attracting leading local and international companies who seek to benefit from the excellent reputation of Dubai as a platform for promoting projects and reaching business deals among the business community and investors.

Bin Mejren noted that the LD is keen to support activities related to the real estate sector and the department is pleased to see this level of professionalism in the arrangement of the new edition of IPS. He hoped that the new edition will add to the prestigious history of the event since its launch in 2006. The IPS has cemented its unique position compared to other similar regional and international events. He said that last year’s edition welcomed 18,000 visitors from 70 countries.

Dawood Al Shezawi CEO of Strategic Marketing and Exhibition, the organizer of the show, said the responses and demand for participation in the IPS by developers reflect the full recovery of the property sector internationally. The UAE property market led this progress and saw rapid recovery compared to other markets. The launch of new mega-projects and resumption of stalled projects clearly indicate this healthy recovery.

Al Shezawi noted that developers realize the importance of seizing the opportunities available at IPS to reach out for investors. This approach reflects understanding of the importance of promoting projects. The Emirate of Dubai provides quality and international dimension for developers who are keen participate in the show.

Al Shezawi stressed that the IPS, which enjoys the support of Government of Dubai Land Department, is determined to meet the aspirations of the participants and visitors to confirm the event’s importance. He anticipated that the IPS 2013 will see more visitors, thanks to the booming property sector in Dubai, which gears up for new boom supported by the UAE economy’s growth.

Leading companies from UK are participating in the event including Advantage Properties, Knight Knox, Sherwoods Property and others. Turkey has strong presence in the show as it is represented by ADAS properties, Ayon Properties, Koyom hotels, Freibd Yaieen properties, Romly properties, Yulia Properties and others. Other participants include Drama Dity of Kuwait, Magnolia and Matrix from Thailand, Mega and Mega World from the Philippines and Provents from Portugal in addition to many other international firms.

For his part, Engineer Faris Saeed, Chairman of Diamond Developers said the great success of the show in the previous editions create more responsibility to maintain the success. The IPS comes to indicate the full recovery of the property sector in the UAE and Dubai in particular.

He disclosed that his company will showcase for the first time an interactive model of the Dubai Sustainable City located in Dubai Land. He noted that the new project received local and international interest even before its official launch.
