Jumeirah launches hotel brand ‘Venu’

Dubai-based global hotel operator Jumeirah Group has unveiled a new lifestyle brand, ‘Venu’, with plans of a new hotel planned for the emirate.

A member of Dubai Holding, Jumeirah Group has confirmed it is in talks with Meraas to operate the first property under the Venu branding, which will be planned on Dubai’s Bluewaters Island.

Further details of the project will be announced later this year, according to a statement.

The company further stated the new brand is designed to appeal to the ‘modern traveller whose expectations revolve around their own lifestyle’.

Speaking at the launch of the new brand, Nicholas Clayton, CEO Group Operations, said: “This is a genuinely exciting innovation for Jumeirah Group. The time is right for us to launch a new contemporary lifestyle brand. Its provenance and energy comes from Dubai – and the first few Venu hotels will open here – but it is ultimately a powerful way of taking the core essence of the Dubai out into the international market….”

Discussions are under way with a number of developers in the Middle East, Asia and Europe for the Venu brand.
