Driven to luxury: Dh40,000 for 'Beetle chair'... with Swarovski crystals

If you are a motor-head, and have a penchant to deck your abode with stunning motoring designs, then the swanky Beetle armchair is for you.

Decked in Swarovski crystals and classic VW Beetle 1968 parts, the distinctive baroque armchair will add immense charm to any house.

Priced at €8,000 (around Dh39,724), this glamorous armchair is designed by Italian Andrea Colombo.

These can be customised, and the solid finishes can be designed in 24K gold or silver.

The armchair can be sourced from ZAC Glamour Design, which prides itself in fusing Baroque elements with car art.

Despite the store being located in Milan, customers in Dubai can get their prized possession transported to their UAE residence for an extra cost of €1,500 (roughly around Dh7,448).

A store rep informed that the armchair will be flown in, and it will be packed in a box.

It measures: W150 x D70 x H120 cm (W59.06 x D27.56 x H47.24 in).

The furniture is “padded and upholstered in leather, faux leather (fireproof on request) and fabric”.

It is “carved from solid wood hand finished in silver leaf”, and uses LED lights and ecological paints.
