Freshii on track to open 5 Dubai outlets

The North American health food sensation Freshii, which opened its doors to its first Middle Eastern outlet in Dubai in October, is on track to open five outlets in Dubai and expects second to be operational within the next six months.

“We opened (first outlet) rather quietly after a long wait but have been very happy with the response and busy through lunches. The response from the crowd at DIFC has been quite positive and we have a solid following of regular customers.  We started to offer delivery service a couple of weeks ago and that is going really well. Our online ordering system is almost ready to launch and we think our customers will really appreciate the convenience. We're working on building our catering business, with a focus on office meetings and business gatherings in the DIFC,” said Michael Boocher, Owners and franchisors of Freshii, UAE.

“Now that the first store is up and running smoothly we're quite focused on our next outlet, but in this economic climate choosing the right location is even more critical to success. We're being very careful about where we want to be and, on balance, how much we think the business can afford to pay to be there. Ideally, we'd like to have our second location operating within six months, but we'll wait for the right spot, at the right price,” he said.

Boocher said he met an Indian investors who is keen to take franchise to Mumbai but “cannot offer any real insight into any contract negotiations.

Boocher invested about Dh1.5m in the outlet located in DIFC.
