1. Avoid weight gain during Ramadan: Healthy and well balanced Iftar along with moderate physical activity during the day will keep you fit and energetic. When breaking your fast, start with a glass of warm water and few dates –these are high fast-acting carbohydrates but they are also packed with magnesium, potassium and fiber. Then it’s all about lighter fare, such as salads, soups and yogurt.

2. Make sure to include proteins in your daily Ramadan meals: Meat, fish, nuts and dairy products are reach in proteins. Make sure you include one of those. Proteins are vital for our health, it boosts metabolism, maintain your satiation level and reduce sugar cravings.

3.Do not neglect Suhoor: Suhoor is meant to supply you with strength and energy throughout the day. Low fat diary or skimmed milk, whole grain breads, rice or cereals and dried fruits will maintain your blood sugar level and improve digestion.

4. Maintain water balance boost: This is simply vital while fasting. Drink at least 8 glasses of steel water after Iftar and include liquid food, fruits and vegetables to your daily meals. It is important that you limit caffeinated drinks intake and refrain from salty and spicy foods to reduce risks of dehydration and feeling thirsty during the day.

1. Keep your skin hydrated:
Drink sufficient quantities of water between the time of Iftar and Suhoor. It will flash out toxins faster and maintain necessary water balance. Choose your cleanser properly – go for a gentle conditioning,

alcohol free cleanser to softly remove daily impurities and keep your skin clean and moisturized.

2.Pay more attention to your skincare routine: Choose hyaluronic acid based moisturizer to instantly hydrate your skin.  Apply the moisturizer with upward circular motions to provide maximum absorption, add lymphatic drainage effect and prevent swelling due to water retention. Do not forget about sun protection. Apply SPF 50 sun block every time you go out.

3. Do not skip your eye care routine: More than all, gentle skin around your eyes will suffer from dehydration and vitamin deficiency. Make sure you apply suitable cream twice daily – morning and evening with the upward circular strokes gently massaging the area. It will not only prevent tiny wrinkles development but also tighten tiny blood vessels and protect you from puffiness and dark circles around the eyes.

4. Keep a daily balanced consumption of Vitamins: Vitamin deficiency and lack of sleep, which may occur during Ramadan fasting, make your skin looks dull and aged.   Daily consumption of Vitamin A, C, D and E with Omega 3 acids in the food or as supplements, as well as  a short nap during the day (if you couldn’t have enough sleep at night) may work miracles for your skin.

1. Brush your teeth regularly: Beating bad breath during Ramadan might be challenging. Brushing your teeth after each meal will help to keep your breath fresh and your teeth clean. Make sure to first brush your teeth immediately after each meal and before you go to sleep.

2. Floss your teeth thoroughly: This serves to clean up the food left between the teeth and to prevent cavity and bad odor.

3. Practice dry brushing: During the day you can “dry brush” using only your toothbrush to loosen the plaque on your teeth. You can then wipe away the plaque with a dry towel and floss with water.

4. Maintain good oral hygiene practices: A traditional “chewing stick” may serve as a good alternative when it comes to oral hygiene. It contains natural elements that help to remove stains, bacteria and plaque. Deposits of Vitamin C, Calcium, Fluoride and essential oils contained in the chewing stick help to keep your teeth health and strong.

5.Give up smoking: During Ramadan smokers will benefit from reducing Nicotine consumption and cutting off smoking during the day. Nicotine doesn’t only affect the soft tissue of your teeth leading to gum disease, but it also causes bad breath. Ramadan is a good time for you to give up smoking!
