Rat bites man on toilet

In a bizarre incident, an elderly man in Midleton, Cork County was bitten by a rat while using the toilet and had to receive immediate medical attention.

After the incident, the council has called on residents to be alert while using the washroom.

The rodent is believed to have got in through a broken sewer pipe during flooding, reported ‘Metro’.

Authorities advise residents to keep their toilet seats down when not in use and be alert when on it.
