Kimora Lee Simmons delights Dubai at Fashion Catwalk

Dubai Mall visitors were in for a surprise as the Fashion Catwalk was converted into a star-studded affair on Sunday evening.

Heading a 60-minute style session was none other than international style icon Kimora Lee Simmons, model, entrepreneur, mother and reality TV star of the series 'Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane'.

The model was accompanied by Dubai’s most-sought after fashion personalities including Mona Kattan, beauty blogger and Managing Partner & Co-Founder of The Dollhouse Beauty Lounge.

The session was part of a line-up of events and activities for the on-going seventeenth edition presented by Dubai Summer Surprises.

A team of stylists prepared for the event by going on a shopping spree to Galeries Lafayette, to select assorted apparels and accessories that their models would exhibit on the day of the event.

Showcasing the hottest fashion selections, five sets of models were styled and accessorized by each of the stylists during the event.

The Creative Director of KLS, Kimora Lee Simmons gave the models the final touches and offered her expertise in presenting a ravishing line-up of eclectic head-to-toe looks, which included the ‘Abaya’, ‘Casual Wear’, ‘The Black Dress’, ‘Evening Wear’ and ‘Formal Wear’.

Speaking at the event, Kimora thanked the audience for the warm welcome extended to her.

“I am so excited to be in Dubai. Thank you DSS for putting together such a fabulous event. Given the huge success of so many international brands in Dubai, the fashion scene in the city is truly on par with the leading fashion capitals of the world. The fact that Dubai has embraced fashion as a crucial element of its retail sector growth has encouraged me to explore bringing to Dubai my new KLS line launching internationally this fall," said Kimora.

Much to the delight of her fashion-conscious fans in the audience, Kimora selected the best look after each round, and offered valuable advice on how to dress for the occasion and how to make varied style choices work for individual personalities. The style mogul also answered questions that came her way in between each session.

A 30-minute autograph signing session was also organized for DSS and the Dubai Mall VIPs as an opportunity for them to get up close and personal with the highly acclaimed fashion designer and lifestyle entrepreneur.

Continuing her legacy in fashion, Simmons is launching a new designer KLS line this fall internationally, aiming to bring the versatile collection to the bustling retail sector in Dubai.
