Only a couple of days to go for the coronation night of the 62nd Miss Universe contest and speculations are rife about the next beauty queen.

Punters are gunning for Miss Philippines Ariella Arida and Miss USA Erin Brady.

Online voting has already been activated, and all are invited to cast your vote to see their favorite contestant reach the semi-finals.

Miss Philippines Ariella Arida

We introduce you to the two Miss Universe 2013 hopefuls.

Miss USA Erin Brady:

Erin Brady grew up in East Hampton, Connecticut. Before winning Miss USA, Erin was working as a financial accountant.

She cites her biggest accomplishment as moving out on her own at the age of 17. Erin enjoys cooking, skiing and running. She is currently training for her first marathon next year.

Considering Miss Universe 2012 is an American, expectations are high from Brady. Recently, she is a great supporter of breast cancer awareness program in association with Bright Pink.

Erin was once a briefcase girl for the show, “Deal or no Deal.”

One of the most exhilarating moments in Erin’s life was when she drove a Ferrari Challenge Race Car on the track.

Erin has a fascination with flamingos. She has been collecting anything “flamingo” from plungers to staplers. She would love to own a real flamingo one day!

"I have an old soul which I feel really serves me well as a leader. I have a lot to bring to the table both emotionally and intellectually. I have a heart of gold and feel I have every quality necessary to succeed as a representative to the entire world. "

Her goal to be an advocate for children of alcohol addicts is deeply influenced by her own childhood.

"I grew up in a family influenced by that and I think it's really important to help the children of families that are suffering from those problems," she noted.

Miss Philippines Ariella Arida:

Ariella Arida graduated with honors from the University of the Philippines with a degree in chemistry.

She is fascinated with different cultures and has a love of learning, and advocates for educating the young.

In the future, Ariella aspires to become an entrepreneur, and merge her love of chemistry and research to create her own fragrance line.

Since her childhood, Ariella has always had a competitive, determined and hardworking spirit.

Creative and inquisitive as a young girl, Ariella would make various sweets from herbs and sell them to her classmates in grade school.

Ariella once forced herself to learn how to drive stick shift for a job in just five hours, without ever driving a car before in her life.

Ariella can tell the composition of any chemical compound by simply glancing at it.

She says, "The Filipino resiliency, and our ability to be positive despite all odds is something that my country can be proud of."

As predicted Ariella Arida has become one of the hot picks for Miss Universe 2013 crown. She reminds us of 1994 winner Sushmita Sen (India), and she is definitely gorgeous. Recently, Megan Young from the Philippines was crowned Miss World 2013, so all eyes are apparently fixated on Arida now.

There are other contestants as well who will give some tough time to Miss Philippines and Miss USA.

Miss Australia Olivia Wells is a strong contender for Miss Universe 2013. This aspiring pediatrician hails from Melbourne, Australia. This die-hard fan of "Les Miserables" is also a philanthropist. She is a cooking aficionado and writes a blog, "The Procrasti-baker."

Considering the event is taking place in her city Miss Russia Elmira Abdrazakova will be bursting with confidence.
