If you are a biker, look no further. New technologies coming your way can transform the riding experience once and for all.

French company Voxan has announced what they say could well be the world’s most powerful electric bike that can recharge faster than a mobile phone does.

Voxan Wattman as the bike is called is a 200 horsepower machine able to race up from 0 to 160 kmph in just 5.9 seconds. What’s more, the bike can be recharged in 30 minutes. Voxan unveiled the bike at the Paris Motorcycle Show that started on December 3.

According to Voxan the bike’s electric motor is powered with permanent magnets and liquid cooling and delivers a power of 200 HP with 200 Nm instant torque up to 10,500 rpm.

The bike that is engineered in Monaco and made in France has a 240 mm wide tyres reaching 0-100 kph in 3.4 seconds and “capable of lightning acceleration and flexibility, thanks to its belt drive electric motor.”

The ultra-compact 12.8kWh battery of the bike can be charged for upto 80 per cent in less than 30 minutes thanks to its “COMBO II” socket.

A fully charged battery can run up to 180km of range.

Also the bike can be charged by plugging it into a standard household socket through an integrated charger.

Skully P!

Now just imagine if you are riding the world’s most powerful electric bike wearing the world’s most advanced helmet.

Skully P1, a helmet that projects to the rider the world behind him through a heads up display was developed by Marcus Weller, who as reports indicate was inspired by the idea following a motorcycle accident in Barcelona.

What Skully does is to provide the motorist with an advanced situational awareness system.

AN integrated rear view camera system with a 180 degree viewing angle will provide a live video of what’s happening on the road behind the motorcycle, enabling the biker to just glace through the display on the helmet screen, before making a turn or changing lanes. It even covers the blind spot.

An inbuilt navigation system with a GPS map displays the route you are supposed to travel and thanks to the Bluetooth pairing and voice control systems, your smartphone will be fully integrated.

Not only will it allow the user to control the interface with voice, they can even control music, send texts, make calls, and change the destination on the map hands-free. The helmet also has anti-fog, anti-scratch and anti-glare face shield.

While the Voxan is still a concept vehicle, expect Skully to hit the read before the end of 2014.
