The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge want to put an end to cyberbullying.

Prince William and Kate Middleton invited executives from social media and tech companies, including Facebook and Twitter, to participate in a 'constructive conversation' about cyberbullying, according to the Sunday Times.

In the coming year, the royal couple is set to meet with the organizations to see what more can be done to rid the internet of online harassment.

Prince William and Kate Middleton, who don't have social media accounts themselves, are particularly interested in protecting young people from cyberbullying.

A royal aide told the Sunday Times that their concern for the issue was heightened after the birth of their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

"Their role as parents is definitely shaping their perceptions on the issues," he said. "As parents themselves they want to speak out and see what more can be done for young people who are victims of cyberbullying and all forms of bullying."

The dates of the meeting between the royals and the social media companies have yet to be announced.
