While Dubai's biggest night souq, Ramadan Night Market is a magnet for adults, courtesy its delightful shopping experience, children too, are finding fantastic, fun-filled and exciting avenues at the event. This year’s highlight for children is the enthralling and colourful Confetti Theatre, a mobile puppet theatre that is not only entertaining but provides food for thought for little ones as well.

In one-of its-kind performance, children are educated on the basic lessons of life that includes eating healthy and avoiding junk food and the importance of road safety – among other topics – in lively and engaging performances told in the form of fascinating stories. The shows are being held every hour on all 10 days.

The 10-day Ramadan Night Market is being held at Zaabeel Hall 5, Dubai World Trade Centre, from June 23 to July 2.

The event combines shopping with other entertaining activities for both kids and adults for a complete family experience.

The market, which is open to visitors from 8pm to 2am, has been a constant source of attraction for the young and the old alike, courtesy the enchanting options of amusement.

Situated in close enough proximity to the retail outlets, the entertainment zone gives parents the comfort of keeping an eye on their precious little ones, yet let them browse and shop in peace.

"For children in particular the visual impact is far stronger than any other medium, which makes it an effective teaching tool," said Samantha Cordeiro Miranda, Brand Manager at Sumansa Exhibitions, the event organizers.

"Puppet theatre is a great way to instil good social behaviour in kids, since they respond well to the imaginative performances and the bright array of colourful characters. This is a great addition to Ramadan Night Market since now parents can shop with ease knowing that their children are occupied in an educative activity, which is great fun as well.

"With summer vacations coinciding with Ramadan, there are few recreational options for children in this sweltering heat. This makes Confetti Theatre a fantastic, yet affordable, outlet for parents who want their children to learn something constructive, instead of staying glued to television and tablets all day long," added Samantha.

Besides learning important behavioural lessons, children also get a chance to meet the fascinating puppet characters and the voices behind them after the performance. Moreover, the interactive nature of the theatre gives them a chance to be part of the performance, making it all the more memorable.

Confetti Theatre is supported by UAE Ministry of Education and was awarded for being an official entertainment partner for the annual Health and fitness fun festival in the UAE, 2016.
