Russian photographer Murad Osmann and his girlfriend (and now wife) Natalia Zakharova created the popular #followmeto project.

The project saw the couple sharing photos of themselves in the familiar scene of the girl (Natalia) leading her guy (Murad) by the hand during their many travels around the world.

Images always featured his stunning fiancée leading him to beautiful locations. Their holiday pictures went viral and have been copied across the globe.

While there have been numerous attempts at copying the concept, no one has really caught social media attention as much as the original couple did.

Forrest Lu and Agnes Chien, a Taiwanese couple, are in the limelight after posting hilarious images as a parody of the #followmeto meme.

Instead of his wife leading him into dreamy locations by the hand, Forrest Lu's images are a little less idealised.

In one, partner Agnes Chien is holding him by the hair and apparently dragging him backwards in Kualoa Ranch in Hawaii.

Another shows her grip as firm as she leads him to Waikiki Beach in Honolulu.

But the time the Taiwan native is being dragged to the Pearl Harbour Memorial Museum, somewhat brutally clutched by the nose, while a trip to the Dole Pineapple Plantation is stressful for his ear.

According to Taiwanese reports, the couple came up with the idea for this parody while vacationing in Hawaii. Lu and Chien posted their parody to a Facebook community they are a part of, and the couple’s images went viral, reaching more than 135,000 likes and 39,000 shares as of publication.
