With the wedding of the century just a week away, engaged couples everywhere are looking to Britain's royal couple for wedding inspiration.

Tradition dictates William and Kate marry in London, but luckily commoners in love are bound by no such restrictions. Genevieve Shaw Brown, senior editor for online travel advisers Travelocity.com suggests these top destinations to tie the knot. Reuters does not endorse this list:

1. Amalfi Coast, Italy
Imagine a wedding in a centuries-old church followed by an intimate dinner party in a tucked-away family-owned Italian restaurant, glasses clinking white wine and laughter flows.
