Foreigners bought Dh2.8bn shares on DFM in a week

Dubai Financial Market (DFM) announced that the value of shares bought by foreign investors, or non-UAE nationals, from April 26 to 30, 2015, reached Dh2.81 billion, while value of stocks they sold stood at Dh2.87bn, with net foreign investment on the market reaching Dh61.4 million during the period, as aggregate sell.

Value of shares bought by foreigner investors comprised 42.5 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the last five days, while value of stocks sold by foreign investors during the same period represented 43.5 per cent of stocks traded during the period, a DFM press release said on the market activities over the past five days.

The value of stocks bought by institutional investors during the week reached Dh1.3bn, comprising 19 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. The value of stocks sold by institutional investors during the period reached Dh1.2bn, representing 17.9 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period.

Net institutional investment on the market stood at Dh70.4m during the period, as aggregate buy.
