11-month-old has 12 needles stuck in her

What would you do if you had 12 needles embedded in various parts of your body? That is the question that has rocked readers on social media, after the report of an 11-month-old girl from Shandong, China, with 12 needles in her body, has gone viral.

Asiaone.com writes that the girl’s mother noticed the child crying whenever she touched her. The report adds that the Shandong Satellite claimed that local doctors advised the girl's parents to seek help from a hospital in Beijing after X-Ray images showed numerous needles in her.

A doctor at Beijing Children's Hospital commented that the tips of the needles were snapped off and suggested the perpetrator had exerted considerable force when pricking the child.

The toddler is currently stable after doctors extracted all the needles, including three in her abdomen. Shandong police have begun investigations.
