3 Sharjah areas face load shedding

Sharjah continues to face power shortage problem with residents of Al Rahmaniya, Abu Shagara, and Al Nouf reporting power disconnection.

Residents who complained through Sharjah Radio said that there is no power in their area on the day when the temperature exceeded 40 degrees and it is difficult to live indoor without air-condition during the long fasting days.

Engineer Othman Suroor, Director of Monitoring and Controlling Department of Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority, admitted power failure problems in the emirate on the Sharjah Radio and said that they’re trying their best to solve the problem.

“We are facing this problem because of the excessive loads on the system in different areas of the emirate of Sharjah,” he said.
