A three years old Saudi boy died after falling from the sixth floor of a private hospital in Riyadh on Sunday.

The victim was with his cousin and their families, and were visiting a relative who was admitted at the hospital.

Initial investigations showed that the boy and his cousin took the hospital lift and went to the rooftop of the hospital. The three years old boy lost his balance and fell from the rooftop of the sixth floor of the hospital onto the roof of a house which was next to the hospital.

The other boy fainted and was found unconscious on the rooftop of the hospital.

The boys' father filed an official compliant at the police station accusing the hospital for negligence which caused the death of his son.

The accident caused waves of anger were many accused the hospital for negligence as well. They said that this is not the first time, and the hospital must put fences on the rooftop of the hospital to avoid children or adults from falling.

Abeer, a Saudi lady said that three years ago, her nephew died in the same way after falling from the rooftop of the same hospital. She also accused the hospital and said it must put fences on the rooftop to avoid similar accidents.

"Three years ago my nephew died after falling from the rooftop, and still we are hearing of similar accidents. Something must be done. How many kids must die before the hospital put safety fence around the rooftop."

Many others on the other hand accused the parents for negligence and said that they must be responsible for the death of their son as they did not pay attention to the boy and were busy with the patients.

Haneen, another Saudi woman said that it is a common scene to see boys playing in the hospital corridors or the lefts without their parents. "Parents mainly stay in the patients rooms and leave their kids outside. This is wrong, especially these boys were at very young age. Now regret will not bring their son back."

Others added that this is a lesson for all other parents to pay attention to their kids at all times.
