56% drop in serious crimes in Sharjah

In H1 of 2016 compared to same period last year

The serious crime rate recorded in Sharjah has dropped in the first half of this year compared to the same period last year.

Department of Criminal Investigation, Sharjah Police, said, the rate of serious crime reduced by 56 per cent in the first half of this year compared to the same period in 2015.

Faisal Ibrahim bin Nassar, Deputy Director, CID, Sharjah Police, said, the reduced rate was due to the intensified Insad patrols in all parts of the emirate including industrial and residential areas.

Sharjah Police is working constantly to upgrade their work system based on requirement of security situation, he added.
