Al Bayan newspaper won the Middle East Award for Excellence in the 21st GCC Smart Government and Smart Cities Conference.
Dhaen Shaheen, Director of the Publishing Sector, Dubai Media Incorporated, who is also the Editor-in-Chief of Al Bayan and Ali Shadoor, Managing Editor of Al Bayan, received the award.
The ceremony was organized by the Middle East Excellence Awards Institute to honour the winning institutions and personalities in the presence of Dr. Yahiya Bin Abdullah AL Samaan, Deputy Head of the Saudi Shura.
The award was announced at the end of the 5-day conference, which was held in Dubai from May 16–20, 2015 at the Ritz-Carlton in DIFC.
The conference was attended by over 1,000 regional and global delegates, visionaries, speakers, and guests.
The conference is a global platform for regional and global institutions and leaders to share and benefit from the experiences and best global practices in institutional transformation leadership, corporate governance strategies, and
strategic planning for institutional performance and eGovernment services.
