Asian strangles girlfriend with belt at Abu Dhabi hotel

A 44-year-old Asian man murdered his girlfriend by strangling her with a belt at a hotel in Abu Dhabi just days after she arrived in the UAE on a tourist visa.

The man, identified as GF, was arrested after fleeing the capital to Ruwais in the Western region and police said he confessed that he had killed the 28-year-old Asian girl after finding out she was betraying him with another man.

Police said the man used his belt to strangle the girl in her bed at their hotel room before leaving her body in the room and fleeing to Ruwais.
“We identified the killer after finding that the room was booked in his name.

“We succeeded in locating him and sent a police force to Ruwais where they trapped and arrested him,” Abu Dhabi’s CID chief Colonel Rashid Mohammed Burasheed said.
