Baby girl registered as boy

A Saudi man got a shock when he received the birth certificate for his new daughter recording her as a boy instead of a girl.

The father rushed to the personnel department in the Southern town of Abha and pointed out the mistake to them, according to Makka newspaper.

“Officials there told him that the employee made a mistake because of the strange name of his daughter. They promised to make the correction and issue a new certificate for the baby,” the paper said, adding that the girl’s name is Miyan.
