The Park is looking for both male and female performers for a host of roles in Bollywood Parks Dubai.

The male performers that the Dubai firm is looking for should have skills in parkour, gymnastics, circus (Cyr Ladder), and/or with special skills in fighting such as Kung Fu-Wuhsu, Kalari.

Knowledge in Bollywood dance is an asset, it says.

Female stunt performers/acrobats with acting and dancing abilities and actors with Bollywood dance and fight abilities are required too.

Audition for roles in the Indian city of Mumbai will start tomorrow (Thursday, April 21) and will last until Saturday, April 23.

The chosen candidates will be part of ‘Dabangg’, a Bollywood stunt show, which will be an original adaptation of the sequel of movies by the same name. A cast of 15 male and 10 female actors and acrobats will perform this 25-minute action spectacular.

The Dabangg stunt requires a Chulbul, a gymnast parkour performer who resembles the movie character (played by Salman Khan). Among the job qualifications required are that he should be very good in acting and not afraid of heights. Kung fu wushu knowledge will be an asset. Maximum height of the candidate should be 180 centimeters.

A ‘Shera’ is also needed. He should be a very good actor, able to do acrobatics, with Kung Fu knowledge (an asset) and have the ability to dance.

Live shows at the park will be inspired by the inimitable iconic stars of Bollywood and sizzle the stage with ‘item numbers’, folksy fun medleys, tapori Mumbai styles and contemporary dance fusion.

Set across 25 million sq ft, the Dubai Parks and Resorts destination will include several theme parks: Hollywood-themed motiongate, Legoland and Legoland Water Park, Bollywood Parks, and a Six Flags theme park.

The entire destination will be connected by Riverland Dubai – a retail, dining and entertainment walkway and guests can stay at the Lapita Hotel, Autograph Collection, a Polynesian-themed resort catering to families.
