Big fire in Dubai's Business Bay brought under control

A major fire broke out at a construction site in Business Bay close to Al Khail Road in Dubai on Thursday.

Civil Defence officials confirmed the incident but said no one had been injured.

The cause of the fire is not yet known. Fire trucks reached the scene and were trying to put out the blazeat the time of reporting.

“The fire was brought almost under control by 5.30pm,”said a Civil Defence official.

Smoke from the fire could be seen along Sheikh Zayed Road until the 3rd interchange.

In a separate incident, a car is reported to have caught fire on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road.
