Business Bay bridge crash kills two

Two men died and a third was injured when light pick-up truck crashed into a tanker on Sunday morning.

A traffic police source confirmed to this website that the accident took place on Business Bay bridge, Al Khaleej Street heading towards Deira, near Rashidiya Police Station, at 8.52am.

The source said the truck driver suddenly swerved hitting the tanker, which was in its proper lane.

While two passengers in the truck died on the spot, and the driver was left injured, the tanker driver escaped unharmed.

Traffic was diverted from Business Bay Bridge towards Festival Centre as traffic was jammed in the area.
