Child strangled to death by swing

A 12-year-old Saudi girl died after she was strangled by a rope while she was playing in her swing at her home in the Gulf Kingdom during Eid Al Fitr last week.

Police, quoted by Sabq newspaper, said the girl was found dead near her swing at her house in the central province of Al Qasseem after her neck was caught by the rope.

"Police said they are still investigating the case to determine the exact cause of death and whether criminal act is involved," the paper said.
