Crazy World: Angry dad makes video of daughter in shower

Father wanted to punish the 'naughty' teenager

SINGAPORE: A 'naughty' teenager in Singapore was being forced to toe her father's line in a disgusting way. He had filmed her while she was taking a shower. He wanted to punish his daughter for being disobedient.

The 49-year-old father pleaded guilty for outraging the modesty of a woman. The fact that the man had about 91 obscene video files in his phone is also being taken into consideration by the judge.

The court felt that the man had taken his role as a disciplinarian in the girl's life a bit too far. Parents do find it tough to deal with their teenage children, however, this father had crossed the line, reports The New Paper.

The incident occurred when the girl was about 14-year-old and while taking a shower she noticed that her father's mobile was peeping out of her father's trousers that were hanging on the peg behind the bathroom door. The girl took a closer look at the mobile and found it in recording mode.

Needless to mention that she was horrified when she hit the play button.

Soccer fan dies after 11 all-nighters

CHINA: A die-hard football fan in China died after watching Euro 2012 matches for 11 consecutive nights.

The 26-year-old did not sleep for 11 nights as he spent his sleeping time watching matches and went to work during the day. He was an ardent fan of England and France, reported Daily Mail.

He died at home in Changsha, Central China's Hunan province, on June 19, 2012. On the fateful night, he watched the match between Italy and Ireland and returned home at 5am after a few celebratory drinks with friends. When his mother tried waking him up in the evening, he never woke up.

According to reports, he was a fanatical football fan who would watch all major tournaments without missing a single match.

He died due to low blood sugar and slow blood circulation. Apparently, this is not the first time that a fan has died due to such fanatical devotion.

According to The New Paper, during the Germany 2006 and South Africa 2010 World Cups, there were reports of people being admitted to hospital after their bodies broke down from the lack of sleep.

Woman spends $16k on botched double eyelid surgery

SINGAPORE: A woman in Singapore who spent about $16k on an eyelid surgery was outraged when she found out after the surgery that her eyelids were not even.

She is demanding her money back now that she is not happy with the outcome of the surgery. However, the doctor is ready to return only $6,400 to her.

The 37-year-old woman felt that her natural eyelids were not beautiful, hence she went for four double eyelid surgeries between 1992 and 2010. She was not happy with the result even after four surgeries and wanted further improvement.

Hence, she went under the knife for the fifth time and she doled out $16,000 only for this surgery.

According to Shin Min Daily, before the doctor could take the stitches off, she felt that something had gone wrong. She thought her eyes looked uneven and the widths of the double eyelids were different.

14 mutilated bodies found outside supermarket

MEXICO CITY: Fourteen mutilated corpses and a threatening message aimed at a drug cartel were found inside a truck in the parking lot of a supermarket in a northern Mexico city, local media reported on Saturday.

Mexico's attorney general's office could not immediately confirm the reports of the grisly discovery in Mante and police officials in the crime-ridden city were not immediately available for comment.

Mexican media said the body parts belonged to 10 men and four women and the message was directed at the Gulf cartel.

In a separate incident on June 7, 14 dismembered bodies were discovered inside a truck in Mante, located in the south of Tamaulipas state, which borders Texas and is one of the bloodiest battlegrounds in Mexico's drug war.

More than 55,000 people have been killed in the conflict since President Felipe Calderon sent in the army to fight drug gangs shortly after he took office in December 2006.

Calderon's conservative National Action Party, or PAN, appears likely to lose power in the presidential election on July 1, due partly to rising frustration with the drug-related violence.

This week, Mexico was left red-faced after authorities admitted they had mistakenly claimed to have captured a son of the country's most-wanted man, drug lord Joaquin "Shorty" Guzman. (Reuters)

32-pound, 10-year-old found locked in closet

US: A Kansas City woman was charged Saturday with abusing her 10-year-old daughter who weighed just 32 pounds when she was found locked in a closet that reeked of urine.

The 29-year-old woman faces charges of assault and child abuse and endangerment in Jackson County Circuit Court.

The Associated Press is not naming the mother to protect the child's identity. Prosecutors are requesting that bond be set at $200,000.

Officers freed the girl after responding Friday morning to a call to a child abuse hotline.

Neighbours told police that they didn't know the malnourished child taken from the public housing complex even lived there.

When officers first arrived, two women told the officers that the mother had left about 20 minutes earlier with two girls, whom they described as "clean and well fed," a Kansas City officer said in the probable cause statement.

A social services worker said there should be three children at the home. But the women insisted, "No, we have lived here for several years, and she only has two daughters that stay here, and we have never seen the other girl, but we heard she stays with the father or an aunt," the probable cause statement said.

Officers ultimately made their way into the apartment, where they found a portable crib pushed up against a bedroom closet, which was tied closed.

The officers asked if anyone was inside, and a child's voice answered "yes," the probable cause statement said. The girl told officers that her mother took her sisters out to breakfast, but she didn't go because "she messes herself."

The girl was transported to a Children's Mercy Hospital, where she was diagnosed with multiple skin injuries.

Hospital staff said she had gained just 6 pounds since she last was at the hospital six years earlier. The girl told detectives who interviewed her at the hospital that her mother puts her in the closet "a lot," that she doesn't get to eat every day and that she "does not want to go back home anymore."

The girl also said she gets in trouble "because she keeps peeing on herself" and her mother will "punch her on her back real hard," according to the probable cause statement.

The mother was arrested later Friday and the two younger children were placed in protective custody. The mother told police she doesn't let the 10-year-old leave the house because she knows the girl is malnourished and would "get in trouble if someone saw her."

The mother's boyfriend, who is not the girl's father and hasn't been charged, said he hadn't seen the girl in about a year.

He said that when he asked about her, the mother told him she was with her aunt or in her room because she was in trouble.

He said he never knew the mother put the girl in the closet or "he would have done something about it," the probable cause statement said.

Mike Mansur, a spokesman for the Jackson County prosecutor's office, said the mother hasn't said why she singled the girl out.(AP)
