DMI organises health awareness campaign for staff

The Society Department of Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) organized a health awareness campaign for staff members in collaboration with the Diabetes Center of Dubai Health Authority on the occasion of World Diabetes Day on November 14.

The campaign has been organized for the second consecutive year in the presence of Mariam Al Murr Bin Hariz, Director of the Community Department of DMI.

The campaign was attended by Darwish Mohammad Ali, Director of Dubai Racing Channel, and Rashid Amiri, Director of Dubai Sports Channel.

DMI employees underwent checks for diabetes. The examinations were conducted by the medical personnel of the Dubai Center for Diabetes.

Ana'am Ibrahim, Dietitian and Coordinator of Nutrition Education at the Dubai Diabetes center said the objective of the campaign was to educate the community about diabetes and its prevention.

Mariam Al Murr Bin Hariz stressed the importance of organizing the campaign which comes in the lines with the vision of the DMI to provide health education to its staff.

Mariam Al Murr Bin Hariz distributed certificate of thanks and appreciation to the Dubai Center for Diabetes of the DHA in appreciation of the Centre's efforts in this area.
