Dubai traffic update: 5-car accident on Ittihad Road

Traffic jams have been experienced across Dubai, with two separate accidents reported, along with a stalled car at a third site, this morning. Dubai Police confirmed an accident on Sheikh Zayed Road, before Al Safa Bridge, heading towards Jebel Ali.

Jay Mathur tweeted the incident, saying: “Traffic looks very bad heading towards Jebel Ali on Sheikh Zayed Road. It’s absolutely standstill at Al Safa with loads of cops going by.”

Meanwhile, another five-car accident was reported in Al Qiyadah area on Al Ittihad Road towards Dubai, opposite the Flower Centre.
Faisal Khatib, who was on the scene, tweeted of major jams, adding: “A five-car accident near the airport heading towards Al Garhoud Bridge on Ittihad Road.”

Dubai Police also reported of a broken down vehicle on Rabat Road, after Mirdif bridge toward Al Garhoud, causing further traffic congestion in the area.

Traffic snarls have also been reported on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, from the Dubai Investments Park roundabout till the Hatta-Oman roundabout.
