Minister of Public Works and Chairman of the Zayed Housing Program Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan has approved a list containing the names of 1,505 beneficiaries of housing grants for the current year.

A total of 996 long term housing loans and 509 grants will be distributed among citizens in the emirates of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Qaiwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.

Acting Director-General of the Zayed Housing Programme Mohammed Abdul Aziz Jassem said that the beneficiaries can visit the official web portal of the programme to obtain the necessary information about the procedure of availing the grants and loans.

The Zayed Housing Programme has adopted a number of measures to reduce the cost of housing construction by way of signing partnership deals with building material companies, who will supply building materials at reduced prices to the beneficiaries of housing loans, said Jassem. Reductions on certain essential materials will reach up to 45 per cent, he added.

Until this April, the Zayed Housing Programme has given a total of 23,000 housing grants to citizens across various emirates. Over eleven thousand houses have been handed over until now and twelve thousand houses are under construction.
