A 16-year-old Arab girl was seriously injured after she fell from the balcony of her fourth-floor home in one of the buildings near Sharjah Corniche, reported ‘Al Bayan’ newspaper.
According to the report, the girl suffered over 20 fractures and serious injuries to chest, pelvis, lung and spine.
The report added that teams of police, ambulance and rescue services rushed to the site and transferred the girl to Kuwait Hospital for treatment.
Criminal investigation officers have also inspected the apartment.
Dr. Issa Al Malami, Assistant Manager, Kuwait Hospital, told ‘Emarat Al Youm’ that the victim has more than 20 fractures and serious injuries in different parts of her body.
He added that a tube has been fixed to the right side of her chest, to deal with blood caused by fractures to the chest.
He stressed that the victim’s condition has improved, but she still needs operations to the pelvic area.
