2 die in Abu Dhabi as car turns turtle

Two employees of the Ghantoot Group of Abu Dhabi died on the spot and a third employee sustained major injuries following an accident in the Mussafa area of Abu Dhabi.

An official of the Ghantoot Group told Emirates 24|7 that Mohammed Sharief (32) and Hamsa Mohammed (32), were travelling back to their homes from Musaffa, after office hours, when their car overturned several times, as they tried to avoid a head-on collision with a speeding pick-up van on Sunday.

The accident happened near Carrefour.

“They were working as assistants in the Public Relations department of our company. Both are youngsters,” Basheer, a colleague told Emirates 24|7.
