2 die in accident on Mohd bin Zayed Road

Two people were killed and four suffered moderate to serious injuries in a road accident on Saturday evening on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road in Ras Al Khaimah.

Police identified the dead people as AP, 37 years old, and SNP, 46, both Asians. All the injured people are also Asian expats.

According to Colonel Ali Saeed Al Alkim of RAK Traffic Police said one of the vehicles involved in the accident was carrying five passengers of which two died and the other three injured. The other vehicle had the driver only who was hurt in the accident.

Insufficient distance between the two vehicles was said to be the cause of the collision.
