230,150 students return to ministry schools

Schools across the UAE welcomed students for the new 2015-16 academic year on Sunday with flowers, cartoon characters and celebrations.

About 230,150 students who go to public schools and private schools that follow the ministry’s curriculums, returned to classes yesterday, reported ‘Al Bayan’.

This year also marked the highest number of students attending the first day of school compared to the past few years.

The number of absentees was few, the report added.
