28 typing centres lose authorisation: Eida

Some typing institutes in the UAE have lost authorisation for failing to comply by Eida rules.

According to a report in Al Khaleej, the Emirates Identity Authority (Eida), withdrew authorisation of 28 typing offices across the country since the beginning of 2012 as they failed to comply by rules implemented by Eida.

The decision follows periodic inspection by Eida officials to check the performance of typing offices.

The offences committed by the typing offices include entering wrong data of applicants, collecting extra fee, holding passports of clients, etc.
