46 injured in Abu Dhabi accident involving two school buses; one serious

Several students have been injured in Abu Dhabi following a collision this morning involving three buses.

Authorities have confirmed 46 people were injured in the crash, with 25 of them sustaining minor injuries.

Another 20 have been treated for moderate injuries, while one person is currently in serious condition.

Two school buses collided with a third, public transport bus, near Al Mussafah Bridge on Thursday morning, outside Abu Dhabi City.

Those hurt have been transferred to Al Mafraq Hospital for treatment.

After the accident was reported in the morning hours, Abu Dhabi Police authorities immediately arrived on the scene to provide the necessary treatment for the injured.

The road was closed to traffic following the crash at the time, which has opened since and the affected buses now removed.

Details of the crash have yet to be revealed.
