Five Asians are accused of impersonating as CID officials and kidnapping two women and moving them from Abu Dhabi to Dubai in order to sell them to prostitute dens.
The two victims befriended each other in a shopping mall and started living together. One of them had absconded from her employer, reported Al Khaleej.
On the unfortunate day, the suspects kidnapped one of the women while she was going to work and forced her into their car. When they drove to her residence to pick up the other woman, they found her brother there. Immediately, they posed as CID officers and accused his sister of stealing Dh1,000. They told him that they were there to arrest her for the crime and drove away with her.
They allegedly sold one of the women for Dh2,500 to a person running a brothel.
Meanwhile, the brother sensed something fishy and informed the first woman’s boyfriend. To their disbelief, they found the two in a brothel amid 23 other prostitutes.
While the first woman was allowed to go with her brother, the other woman has been arrested on charges of absconding from her employer.
Both the women claimed they did not entertain men during their stay at the brothel.
The five men have been referred to the public prosecution in Abu Dhabi on charges of human trafficking.
