5-day National Day gala at Global Village

Global Village is set to host a series of entertaining activities and shows from December 1 to 5 to celebrate the 43rd UAE National Day.

The special events will include concerts by well-known Emirati celebrity singers; Dallah Project; live experience of true Emirati hospitality; Parade of the nations; parachute show; horse and camel parades; special activities for children and, of course, a grand display of fireworks.

Cultural music

Global Village will host four concerts of Emirati star singers from December 2-5 who will perform live at the Cultural Arena’s, World Cultural stage. Abdullah Bil Khair will perform on December 2; Medhad Al Kaabi on December 3; Mohammed Al Menhali on December 4 and Waleed Ibrahim on the 5th.

Cultural dances

To celebrate the enriching culture of UAE, Global Village will host multiple shows of Yola, Razfah and Al Na’ashat.

The Dallah Project

Global Village launched the ‘Dallah’ Project on November 16 as a community art initiative that engaged 92 public and private schools across UAE where students hand painted designs on nearly 3,000 Dallahs in the weeks that lead up to National Day.

Locally-based artists will judge each Dallah and schools participating in this competition can win up to Dh100,000. The winning students of the top three teams can also expect to receive VIP Packs, while all children will be given a certificate of participation.

Emirati hospitality

Free Arabic coffee, dates, UAE flags and UAE scarves as well as Henna application for all Global Village visitors will be available throughout the duration of the National Day celebrations.

Special activities for children

Globo, official mascot of Global Village, will perform entertainment shows along with the famous Emirati series ‘Shaabiyat Al Cartoon’ which portrays the lives of Emiratis and their traditions in a very humorous and engaging way. There will also be free face painting and balloon twisting for kids.

Parades and fireworks

Visitors will be able to enjoy a live parade of the finest Arabian horses and camels as well as the Parade of the Nations – a parade consisting of various nationalities and performers of all pavilions in honour of the UAE National Day.

Moreover, there will also be a military parade of military tankers, and view armored vehicles, aircraft, boats and weapons.

A special parachute show will also take place on December3. 

Special fireworks are planned in the evenings from December 1-5 after 8.30pm.

We have many events and activities planned out for our visitors and guests which will give them an opportunity to experience our rich heritage."

Ongoing entertainment

Bike shows, other street entertainment and main stage cultural shows as well as the Globo shows that have been successfully running since the opening of the 19th season of Global Village will continue.
