5 new Dubai Metro bus feeder routes

The Public Transport Agency, Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), has launched 5 new bus routes in Dubai and revised 4 others, as of April 1.

Eisa Al Hashimi, Acting Director of Planning & Business Development, RTA Public Transport Agency, said that the nine internal routes started off stations spreading in various parts across the Emirate.

New routes

The first of these 5 new routes is Route (84); which starts off Al Khail Gate, Al Qouz and terminates at Mina Siyahi via Mall of the Emirates, followed by Route (366); whch moves off Rashidiya Metro Station and heads to the Silicon Oasis, Route (F12).

A Metro station feeder service will start from Jafiliya Metro Station and running through Al Wasl park via Satwa, Route (21) Another Metro station feeder service starting from Zuleikha Hospital will head towards Al Ahli Club, and Route (E307A) which starts off Abu Hail Metro Station with a final destination in Sharjah Emirate.

Revised routes

The Agency has also revised 4 other routes, namely: Route (22) which has been rerouted to pass by Al Nahda Park, Route (13A) to pass by Doha Road, Route (365) from Rashidiya Metro Station, and the Metro Station Feeder service (F3) passing nearby Al Ittihad Mall via Al Khawaneej Road.

“The Public Transport Agency is always keen on broadening the reach of bus network within the Emirate of Dubai as well as the Inter-City bus network, and frequently conducts studies and field surveys to identify the mobility needs of mass transit users in Dubai in order to meet them at the earliest time possible.

“The RTA keenly attends to suggestions & feedback of the all community segments as regards the widening of public transport network, and carries out polls to probe the views and suggestions of public transport commuters, who can also air their views via RTA website,” said Al Hashimi in a concluding remark.
