A five-year-old child lost a toe in an accident on an escalator when his foot was caught in a broken part of an escalator in a mall in Dammam, in Saudi Arabia.
Jayad Abdul Rahman Al Harbi also suffered a fracture in his left foot during the accident, report Sabq.
The child was accompanied by his family members in the in Al-Oathaim Mall when the accident took place.
The child’s father said that they transferred him to the National Guard Hospital where he is under treatment and might remain hospitalised for another 15 days.
The father requested the authorities to take action against those responsible for such negligence and hold them accountable.
