A Bahrain-born, 54-year-old Briton confessed to transporting 85 capsules that contained 679.41gms of heroin before the Dubai Criminal Court.

Adel Hamad, 22, Dubai Customs inspector at the airport suspected RG, transit passenger who arrived on a flight from Pakistan on January 13.

Inspecting the passenger's handbag through the scanning machine, the inspector found in it some capsules wrapped in nylon.

When confronted with the confiscate, RG confessed possessing drugs and that there others hidden in his digestive organ.

RG was referred to the Anti-Drugs and in the hospital he released the remaining number of capsules.

The accused confessed to possessing drugs before the prosecution and before the court he pleaded guilty and asked for verdict.

The case was adjourned to the end of this month for verdict.
