UAE's hotel operator Rotana has launched a new five-star hotel and serviced apartment project in Dubai, it said in a press statement.

To be built on Sheikh Zayed Road across the Dubai World Trade Centre, the new hotel will be Rotana’s 16th property in Dubai and 35th in the UAE.

It will add another 598 keys to the group's existing 13,678-strong room count across the region.

"With Dubai's hospitality sector projected to maintain its growth momentum across various segments, we were keen to launch a premium hotel in the city that will provide a new level of luxury and comfort to guests with the convenience associated with our brand," said Nasser Al Nowais, Chairman of Rotana.

"Along with the luxury hotel, Rotana will also manage fully serviced executive apartments in the new property, which will be located along the prime stretch of Sheikh Zayed Road," said Omer Kaddouri, President and CEO of Rotana.
