75-year-old Kuwaiti drowns off Sharjah beach

A 75-year-old Kuwaiti man drowned on Tuesday while swimming off Al Khan Beach in Sharjah, according to Sharjah Police.

A rescue team of Sharjah police retrieved the dead body and transferred it to Kuwait Hospital and then to Forensic Medicine to find out the cause of death.

According to Sharjah Police’s Operations Department, they received information about a man who had drowned while swimming off Al Khan Beach.  When the rescue team reached the place, the man was already dead.

Sharjah Police has warned the public against swimming in areas not allocated for swimming. The police are doing their best to prevent drowning accidents but many people ignore safety regulations which put their lives at risk.
