Abu Dhabi bank makes Emirates ID mandatory in some bank dealings

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank on Sunday announced that it adopted Emirates ID card and asked customers to present their cards for some banking transactions.

The bank has applied the use of e-reader devices for ID card system at the bank’s main branch in Al Salam Street, Abu Dhabi.

This move is aimed at upgrading the level of services provided to customers by taking advantage of the advanced electronic applications for identity card. The identity card specifications are compatible with the highest international standards to protect personal identity and definition.

Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) praised ADCB initiative of adopting the Emirates ID card as a key reference for identification in light of the completion of the population register.
