Abu Dhabi expats to pay up to Dh20,000 as fee

Abu Dhabi Education Council (Adec) has issued a circular obliging expatriates who wish to enroll their children in public schools, to pay tuition fees ranging between Dh6,000 and Dh20,000, effective from the current academic year.
 
According to the circular, the value of tuition for all levels of education in government schools of the MoE is Dh6,000 for each student, said Al Khaleej newspaper.
 
The value of tuition fees for schools affiliated to Adec is Dh10,000 for the primary, Dh15,000 for the secondary and Dh20,000 for the secondary that has been all converted to partnership schools in the last academic year.
 
The circular did not include the students who study in the evening from expatriates and who have been reintegrated in the last academic year 2009/2010.
